Flame
Guard Gel™ is completely biodegradable and
soluble with water. Never before has the rural home
owner been able to protect their property without
the lasting negative effects of a retardant. Since
Flame Guard Gel™ is a totally environmentally
friendly substance it can be sprayed on plant life
without damage to the plant or effect composite
roofing or other materials that make up the
structure. Flame Guard Gel™ can be washed away, even
after moderate drying has taken place. Application
systems may be purchased for maximum performance.
FlameGuard Gel is organic and completely biodegrades, unlike polymers, FlameGuard Gel helps the environment and does not harm plants, animals, or lawns. In fact, it actually helps lawns. FlameGuard Gel was applied to this lawn to see if it would have any effect, three weeks later and the grass in this patch has almost completely grown back in.

Keep yourself Protected
In 1997 the state of Oregon passed into legislation,
regulations that a rural homeowner should follow in
order to protect their property and surrounding
property from wild land fires. This legislation
holds homeowners accountable for the costly damage
that fire creates. Many other states are considering
this legislation making it essential to protect your
surrounding area from fire. Flame Guard Gel™ is the
answer for the rural homeowner.
Tested Protection
Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. performed fire tests
for Lateral Ignition and Flame-Spread Tests (LIFT)
for Flame Guard Gel™ under contract with the U.S.
Forest Services. The results were that Flame Guard
Gel™ offered maximum retardency before the second
layer of substrate ignited. The top layer charred
with no visible flames. The second layer, with
continued applied flame, finally ignited at 42 and
60 minutes through the cracks in the top layer. The
performance of Flame Guard Gel™ as a retardant was
far superior to foams and elastomers and superior to
the other gels tested.
