Harry has served as a director and consultant to the
Company since February 1997. Mr.
Shaw has more than 23 years of experience in the design and uses of technology
to reduce the losses of life and property in residential and commercial fires.
Since 1982, Mr. Shaw has served as President of
Harry Shaw & Associates, Inc., a consulting organization to the fire prevention
industry.
From 1986 to 1988 he was a consultant to the International Association of Fire
Chiefs.
From 1983 to 1985 he was a consultant to Shell Chemical Company and Grinnell
Fire Protection Systems.
From 1975 to 1982 he served with the U.S. Fire Administration as Director of
Residential Fire Safety and Acting Administrator.
His efforts at the U.S. Fire Administration led to the revised NFPA Residential
Sprinkler Standard for one- and two-family homes and a new standard for
multi-family dwellings. Earlier, Mr.
Shaw held management posts in the corporate sector, including President and CEO
of Maxson Electronics Corporation and Director of Operations at LTV Electro
Systems, Inc. He studied Engineering at Rutgers and George Washington
Universities and holds a B.S. degree in Public Administration from American
University, Washington, D.C.
